Accepting Your Sinful Nature

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23

I sit here crossed between, “I hate myself and my sinful nature. Why did you make me this way?” And, “God makes no mistakes, and the only one without sin was Jesus, so are you saying you want to be like Jesus?” The answer is no. I could never fill His sandals. Walk in His steps. Overcome the temptations that He did. Display the patience that He did. Endure the pain that He did. My Jesus, My God. Only He is Holy. Only He is Perfect. He made us perfectly with our imperfections. How? Free Will. The blessing and the curse. The only way to not sin, is to be without the freedom to do so. Oh how God loves you so much that He allows you to choose to not do so. Oh how God loves you so much that He still loves you even when you choose to do so. Like a father, that wants the best from His flawed son. Not the rebellious son, that deliberately and rebelliously goes against everything He stands for. You can’t inherit the same kingdom that you are purposely trying to tear down. However, God expects us to fall, to trip and sometimes even jump into trouble. God loves you. God loves you. God loves you. Yes, even you.
